United Way Day of Caring 2007

Christina Achterhoff and Britney Zielinski

Christina Achterhoff and Britney Zielinski participated in the annual United Way Day of Caring on Friday, September 7, 2007. The two represented Service 1 Federal Credit Union in the community while helping restore the Rebecca Lenoir Community Center in North Muskegon.

Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House seeks to provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The charity collects pop can tops from the community and recycles them to earn money to support this mission. To date, the over $12,000 has been raised to support the Joplin, Missouri House.

In less than a year, our Neosho members have donated over 2 gallon jars full of pop tabs. We presented the donation to the local Ronald McDonald House in Joplin on August 14, 2007.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to this wonderful cause. We will continue to collect pop tops in our Missouri office.

2007 Muskegon Walk for Diabetes.

Diabetes Walk Group Photo

Service 1 FCU employees and members participated in the Annual Muskegon Walk for Diabetes on June 9th, taking home the first place trophy for raising over $3,000.00 for this worthy cause. All proceeds from the event go to help those with diabetic related illnesses in Muskegon County. Thank you to everyone who helped us exceed our goal.

This year we challenged other local credit unions to beat our goal of $2,500.00. Several rose to the occasion, helping to raise even more for this great cause. Thank you to those credit unions who participated in the challenge.
